HELPING YOU THRIVE

Running a church comes with a variety of financial and administrative tasks. We’re here to help. Below is a selection of forms and important information to help you navigate financial services.

DOCUMENTS

ABNWT DISTRICT REMITTANCE FORM

Churches are asked to use the District Remittance Form to ensure that funds remitted are designated to the appropriate accounts.

INTERNATIONAL OFFICE REMITTANCE FORMS

(Invoices, Missionary support, Missions, Pension Fund contributions)

Remittance forms are available from the International Office via the PAOC Portal.

DISTRICT REPORT

District Financial statements are audited and presented annually at District Conference. Copies are made available to all churches and to all credential holders of the ABNWT District. To request a copy, please email our office for more information.

CHURCH GIVING STATEMENTS

Church support giving statements are mailed annually to churches.

CLERGY RESIDENCE DEDUCTION

The Clergy Residence Deduction may be available to PAOC credentialed ministers in our District. In order to find out how to claim the Clergy Residence Deduction as spelled out by the Canada Revenue Agency, click here.

REGISTERED CHARITY INFORMATION RETURN (T3010)

Every church and ministry that has a Charitable Registration number issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) must file an information return annually with the CRA. The return must be filed no later than six months after the end of the church or ministry’s fiscal period. You can check the CRA’s website for more information about this and other items at the Charities Directorate website.

When completing the T3010 form, a registered charity will need to report gifts made to other registered charities or “qualified donees”. That includes support of the Alberta & NWT District, Vanguard College, and World Missions with The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. You will need to include the Charitable Registration number of the qualified donees amongst other information in that report. Below are the Charitable Registration number for the following:

  • Alberta & NWT District of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada – 118780279 RR 0001

  • The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada – 107833295 RR 0374

  • Vanguard College – 107785628 RR 0001

REQUIREMENTS FOR DONATION RECEIPTS

The Canada Revenue Agency has requirements for official donation receipts. Registered charities have to include the name and website of the Canada Revenue Agency on official donation receipts. You can read more details on the CRA’s Charities webpage.

STEWARDSHIP SERVICES

cHURCH STEWARDSHIP SEMINAR

PAOC Stewardship Services cares about families and their Biblical understanding of financial matters and wants to help those in our churches plan effectively for the future. We recognize the need for a diverse set of tools to help establish and maintain healthy stewardship and achieve godly goals in all aspects of family life. Radical Stewardship is presented by one of the Stewardship representatives on a Sunday morning in the local church.

Radical Stewardship is a 40-minute seminar dealing with budgeting, debt reduction, money management, retirement, and estate planning. It is fast paced and intensely practical with a few humorous moments. It is a biblically based journey starting today and concluding with your estate planning process.

Statistics tell us that more than half of Canadian adults do not have a financial plan and a written will. On request following the presentation, we assist constituents with writing of personal wills and Power of Attorney documents free of charge.

For more information about having a Radical Stewardship seminar in your church, please contact Stewardship Services:

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES

The purchase of charitable gift annuities is another service of PAOC Stewardship Services. A gift annuity is an investment purchased from the PAOC, which guarantees an individual and his/her spouse a fixed, quarterly income for the rest of their lives. This quarterly amount is usually higher than any other kind of secured investment. The minimum investment is $10,000.

It is the goal of Stewardship Services to bless our churches and constituents as we incorporate Biblical stewardship principles with financial planning decisions in all aspects of their lives.
