Ministers Gathering 23 Highlights

A Family That Works!

Our ABNWT annual Ministers Gathering wrapped up on Thursday, February 9, 2023, in Banff, Alberta. Over 500 ministers and their families joined us for a time of connection, renewal and equipping at the Banff Park Lodge in Banff, Alberta. This event is a valuable family connection time and helps us support and encourage one another as we endeavour to reach the 4.1 million souls in our region. We are a family that works, and we support one another no matter what.

Here are just some of the comments from those who attended the Ministers Gathering:

“I enjoyed meeting with other ministers from across our District. The beauty of the Rockies lends themselves to inspire reflection and focus on God.”

“Making connections and watching people feel part of the family. Worshipping together and seeing the authenticity of the speakers and those involved was wonderful.”

“Reaching out is still our mission and the Gospel priority. However, it will come at a high personal cost that we must be prepared to pay; Time, money, inconvenience and sacrifice.”

“I felt that God told me, ‘Do Not Give up! Fix your eyes on Me (God)! I will be with you always. You are not alone. Seek the lost one!’”

“Ministers need refreshing in every way, and I could visibly see it happening throughout the week. People appeared relaxed and engaged, and laughter could be heard amongst the people.”

“Everyone is valued and needed in this family, and we need to work for the family to be fruitful.”

“The ministry of presence is so undervalued. God is calling me not just to have good planning and strategy, by to ‘show up’ with a heart ready to love and serve.”

“Let’s reach the lost, see our churches grow, be a family, and be ok with not having all the answers. We are all called to do our part, and it is not always easy, but it is possible with God. We all have a story and can receive and give to others.”

“Let’s build God’s church and expand His kingdom by reaching lost people, even when it gets messy.”

“It was a confirmation and a realignment towards souls, souls, souls. I want to see souls saved, but other stuff always gets in the way. I need to stay laser-focused on the mission and not give up.”

“The picture of the yoke was powerful – dispersing the power. It’s not on our own but with God that we do things. We are servants. We long to hear, “well done, My good and faithful servant,” but are we faithful, and are we full of faith?”
